Day 29: God Alone - With, In and through Mary - 33 Days to Total Consecration

"I am all yours, and all that I have is yours, O most loving Jesus, through Mary, your most holy Mother" (True Devotion, 233).

DAY 29 of 33:
contemplating the 2nd Glorious Mystery: the Ascension of Jesus into Heaven with Mary, St. Maximilian Kolbe, St. Mother Teresa and St. Louis de Montfort as our guides.
1. Resolve to pray a complete set of mysteries of the Rosary every day - as an act of love to God and in fulfillment of Mary's requests to us - see day 8 for instructions/ guidance on how to fit this into your day.
2. Skim through the accompanying pictures and the extraordinary wisdom of St. Louis de Montfort and St. Mother Teresa and read through as much (below) as possible.

3. Continue to choose to enter more deeply into the daily prayer program (below) at least in this way:

Ponder and pray The Glory Be today and the accompanying Scripture texts as you meditate and
- while praying for the grace to listen, to hear and respond to God as Mary does.
And to pray for the grace to surrender whatever is keeping us from responding fully to God - in and through and with Mary’s love and help.
4. Begin to take steps to make the Mass the center of your life.
5. Pray the 2nd Glorious Mystery: the Ascension of Jesus into Heaven

Today we will consider Jesus going before us into heaven to prepare a place for us! This is a mystery filled with hope - and a mystery that challenges us to stake our lives on our faith and live fully for God - and to accept His Great Commissioning:
“All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.” Matthew 28: 18-20
Jesus' resurrection and ascension is such great news!
One who proclaimed this with his whole life is St. John Paul II.
Today we look more deeply into the life of John Paul and his devotion to Total Consecration, which enabled him to reach such great heights of sanctity and to fulfill God's will for His life in such extraordinary ways. If you ever doubt the purpose of Consecration and its impact on our lives, look at St. John Paul II for inspiration.
In the video, I recount instance after instance of Mary saving his life. When we fear to take on this consecration and abandon ourselves to God, remember these instances of Mary saving John Paul and think about all the times we, likewise, have been saved.
May all of us who take Mary as our Mother and Queen in this consecration take comfort in heaven's protection, for:
This powerful Queen of heaven would sooner dispatch millions of angels to help one of her servants than have it said that a single faithful and trusting servant of hers had fallen victim to the malice, number, and power of his enemies. St. Louis de Montfort
May these mysteries, our great commission, as well as the wonderful promise of Mary's protection embolden us to live lives fully surrendered to God through Mary, so we can fulfill the plans God has for each of us and share the greatest news in the world with those around us!

Let us begin by praying the
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be. Amen.

Daily Prayer Program for these 33 Days:

It is important to make a commitment to strive to pray more deeply, more intensely and with more of your heart during these days of preparation. Here are some guidelines and suggestions for how to live these days. Pray about how you can grow in each of these areas listed below and while living out this prayer program it is especially important to
Trust in the Truth and Supernatural Reality of God’s Presence within each of them

Take a certain time in the morning, read a text from Holy Scripture, anchor the Divine word in your heart, and strive to live it during the day, particularly during the moment of trials. In this way, you will be stronger than evil.” (Our Lady of Medjugorje, April 19, 1984)
    •           Rosary – With and in Mary, contemplating Scripture and the mysteries of God
3. Fill mind with wisdom of Mary and the Saints
