Day 6 Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary and St. Joseph!

Day 6 Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary and St. Joseph!

We come together again, on this feast day of St Louis de Montfort, to prepare to make our consecration in union with our bishops,
St. Louis taught us divine truths about consecration, included in them were prophesies that spoke of a vast number of saints greater than all those who had gone before them, who would be formed through and with and in Our Blessed Mother.
May His thoughts and words help us today:
"Towards the end of the world ... Almighty God and His holy Mother are to raise up saints who will surpass in holiness most other saints as much as the cedars of Lebanon tower above little shrubs. These great souls filled with grace and zeal will be chosen to oppose the enemies of God who are raging on all sides. They will be exceptionally devoted to the Blessed Virgin. Illumined by her light, strengthened by her spirit, supported by her arms, sheltered under her protection, they will fight with one hand and build with the other."
Let us ponder these words and consider:

Let us ponder these words and consider:
Isn't St. Louis prophesying about us?
Can not each one of us be the great saints that St. Louis is referencing?!
Not because we have any extraordinary holiness of our own, but
because we are especially devoted to Mary in these latter days...
and are illumined by Mary's light,
strengthened by her spirit,
supported by her arms,
sheltered under her protection...
That's why we are being called to be the great saints of these latter days!
Not because of our greatness, but...
because through our humility and littleness in giving ourselves totally to Mary,
she, who is all love and who is full of grace...
and who crushes the heel of the serpent...
will, in her great love for us,
give everything she is and has to us in return!
We give all of ourselves,
and in exchange -
receive all of Mary,
all her gifts
and all whom she loves as well!
What a glorious exchange!!

"...look, above all, at the great prophecies of [Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort] on these times, the era of Mary, the era of the antichrist. For Montfort, the era of Mary and the era of the antichrist are one and the same thing - Mary appears on the battlefield precisely in order to vanquish the antichrist forces which are the forces of evil that operate throughout history and against the apostles, the apostles chosen by Mary whom she forms - Montfort calls these the apostles of the last times." Radio Maria's Father Livio
This era of such great evil is when Mary's power against Satan is particularly manifest.
But, this is also the age of St. Joseph.
He, who was especially chosen by the Father to care for and protect Jesus and Mary,
is also chosen particularly in this age to care for and protect us as the times grow ever darker.

Regarding this, Father Richard Heliman gives us tremendous insights:
"With increased fear and uncertainty growing, on February 28, I put out a call to all prayer warriors (60,000+), asking everyone to join in a 54 Day Three Hearts Novena. With so much emphasis on St. Joseph, and with a growing concern over the future of economic security, I thought it was appropriate to conclude on May 1, which is the Feast Day of St. Joseph the Worker.
I stated then,
“Most of us have prayed many beautiful devotions – and even consecrated ourselves – to the Sacred of Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. In so many ways, this year seems to be the year we are to call out to St. Joseph. Now is the time to add the “Third Heart” for supernatural protection and provision.

As head of the home, St. Joseph points to the role of all fathers to be “protectors and providers.” Many are feeling unsafe and “unprotected” with the spread of this “new virus.” Also, worries grow about future “provision” with economic uncertainty on the rise.

In the midst of this worldwide alarm, let’s call upon all “Three Hearts” to come to our aid by adding, this year, the Chaste Heart of St. Joseph.
Little did I know that the start date (Monday, March 9) would come to be known as “Black Monday,” as it was the worst drop in the Stock Market since the Great Recession in 2008. It would continue to drop throughout the month of March, while we witnessed the unemployment rate sky-rocket to over 26 million jobs lost (to date), as most “non-essential” businesses were forced to close under a national quarantine.
Moreover, the Feast of St. Joseph the Worker was instituted by Pope Pius XII in 1955 as a response to May Day (May 1) celebrations sponsored by Socialists and Communists. Pope Pius XII expressed the hope that this feast would accentuate the dignity of labor. With increased government control deployed during this pandemic, socialists/communists are salivating about the potential of a “new normal” of government control.
If ever there was a time, we all came to understand, to call upon “All Three Hearts” (Sacred Heart, Immaculate Heart, Chaste Heart), THIS IS THE TIME!
What we did not understand, at the time of conceiving this prayer campaign, was that the last day of our 54 Day Three Hearts Novena – May 1, 2020 – would see an amazing convergence of “All Three Hearts.”
Recently, the news broke that the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops announced that they chose to join Canada in a Re-Consecration to Mary, Mother of the Church on May 1.
This convergence set up May 1, 2020 as, what I call, our “Spiritual D-Day.”

How wonderfully does God provide for us by giving us the Holy Family as our protection, our refuge and guides. And St. Joseph is an integral part of this, just as he was an integral part of God's plan of salvation. We often dismiss him and think little of him, but through the revelations he gave us about himself, we can come to understand him and rely on him as God intends:

JOSEPH IS CO-REDEMPTOR WITH JESUS AND MARY AS HE FOREKNEW, PARTICIPATED, SUFFERED AND HAD COMPASSION FOR THE SUFFERINGS OF JESUS AND MARY.

"My heart suffered with the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. Mine was a silent suffering, for it was my special vocation to hide and shield, as long as God willed, the Virgin Mother and Son from the malice and hatred of men.
The most painful of my sorrows was that I knew beforehand of their passion, yet would not be there to console them. Their future suffering was ever present to me and became my daily cross.
I became, in union with my holy spouse, co-redemptor of the human race. Through compassion for the sufferings of Jesus and Mary, I cooperated, as no other, in the salvation of the world.”

NOVENA PRAYERS:

The Novena prayers are simple, but they are rooted in the messages Our Lady has reiterated and given to us again and again in all of her apparitions to try to save us.
Let us always strive to live them ever more fully.
They are:
Pray the full Rosary
Read Scripture together as a family each day –
We are taught and learn so much from reading and meditating on the Mass readings of each day. Here are today's readings, with God's words that stood out to me emphasized:

Tuesday of the Third Week of Easter
Lectionary: 274

Reading 1 Acts 7:51—8:1a

Stephen said to the people, the elders, and the scribes:
“You stiff-necked people, uncircumcised in heart and ears,
you always oppose the Holy Spirit;
you are just like your ancestors.
Which of the prophets did your ancestors not persecute?
They put to death those who foretold the coming of the righteous one,
whose betrayers and murderers you have now become.
You received the law as transmitted by angels,
but you did not observe it.”
When they heard this, they were infuriated,
and they ground their teeth at him.
But Stephen, filled with the Holy Spirit,
looked up intently to heaven and saw the glory of God
and Jesus standing at the right hand of God,
and Stephen said, “Behold, I see the heavens opened
and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.”
But they cried out in a loud voice,
covered their ears, and rushed upon him together.
They threw him out of the city, and began to stone him.
The witnesses laid down their cloaks
at the feet of a young man named Saul.
As they were stoning Stephen, he called out,
“Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.”
Then he fell to his knees and cried out in a loud voice,
“Lord, do not hold this sin against them”;
and when he said this, he fell asleep.
Now Saul was consenting to his execution.

Responsorial Psalm 31:3cd-4, 6 and 7b and 8a, 17 and 21ab

R.    (6a)  Into your hands, O Lord, I commend my spirit.
or:
R.    Alleluia.
Be my rock of refuge,
a stronghold to give me safety.
You are my rock and my fortress;
for your name’s sake you will lead and guide me.
R.    Into your hands, O Lord, I commend my spirit.
or:
R.    Alleluia.
Into your hands I commend my spirit;
you will redeem me, O LORD, O faithful God.
My trust is in the LORD;
I will rejoice and be glad of your mercy.
R.    Into your hands, O Lord, I commend my spirit.
or:
R.    Alleluia.
Let your face shine upon your servant;
save me in your kindness.
You hide them in the shelter of your presence
from the plottings of men.
R.    Into your hands, O Lord, I commend my spirit.
or:
R.    Alleluia.

Alleluia Jn 6:35ab

R. Alleluia, alleluia.
I am the bread of life, says the Lord;
whoever comes to me will never hunger.
R. Alleluia, alleluia.

Gospel Jn 6:30-35

The crowd said to Jesus:
“What sign can you do, that we may see and believe in you?
What can you do?
Our ancestors ate manna in the desert, as it is written:
"He gave them bread from heaven to eat.”
So Jesus said to them,
“Amen, amen, I say to you,
it was not Moses who gave the bread from heaven;
my Father gives you the true bread from heaven.
For the bread of God is that which comes down from heaven
and gives life to the world.”
So they said to Jesus,
“Sir, give us this bread always.”
Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life;
whoever comes to me will never hunger,
and whoever believes in me will never thirst.”

Make the Eucharist the center of your life
we can still do this interiorly if not physically during this time of quarantine through our Spiritual Communions, and visits to Church to pray in front of the tabernacle if they are open, etc.
Fast twice a week on Wednesdays and Friday on bread and water for Mary has told us in Medjugorje:
 "Pray and fast, because with prayer and fasting you can stop wars and natural disasters".
Go to Confession at least monthly (again, if you are unable make frequent heartfelt acts of contrition)…

And each day of this novena, pray especially during the 3 O’clock hour (if possible):
•    an act of contrition
(in place of or in addition to confession)
•    an act of spiritual communion
(in place of or in addition to going to Mass and receiving communion;
•    the Divine Mercy Chaplet
•    the Rosary
Besides consecrating ourselves and our loved ones, our nation(s) and leaders, our Church and the world each day - let us also remember to consecrate Russia and China and all those who are perpetrating such great evil upon the world, praying:

Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I love you! Save Souls!

Entrusting all of us into the hearts of Jesus, Mary and Joseph.

ST. LOUIS DE MONTFORT
St. Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort (1673 – 1716) was born in Brittany, France, to a large farming family. As a child he displayed an unusual spiritual maturity and spent much time in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. At the age of 19 he went on foot to Paris to study theology at a prestigious school with the support of a benefactor; along the way he gave his possessions to the poor and made a lifelong vow to live in poverty supported entirely on alms. He was ordained a priest at the age of 27, and at 32 discovered his calling to be an itinerant preacher, receiving the title of "Apostolic Missionary" from the Pope after his bishop tried to silence him. For the next 17 years he preached missions in countless towns and villages throughout France with an emphasis on renewal and reform. His fiery devotion, oratory skill, and identification with the poor led many souls to conversion. He was persecuted by the Jansenists, who, in their spiritual pride, poisoned him, banished him from preaching in their dioceses, and made an assassination attempt on his life. He had a profound devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and taught on the power of the Holy Rosary. He also wrote a number of classic works on Marian devotion, the most famous being True Devotion to Mary. His feast day is April 28.
